The vasoactive medication effect typically lasts 1-2 hours after the examination, which is completely normal and expected. In most cases, the erection gradually subsides on its own within this timeframe. In the very rare event (less than 1% of cases) that an erection persists beyond 4 hours, you should contact our clinic or visit an emergency department for a simple reversal procedure.
