The process usually involves three to five appointments: impressions, bite registration, wax try-in, delivery, and follow-up adjustments. Remove your dentures after meals and rinse them under water to remove food particles. It is normal to notice changes in speech when you first receive dentures. You may produce more saliva, slur certain sounds, or find some words require extra effort. Practicing speaking by reading aloud, repeating difficult words, and talking to friends and family helps accelerate adaptation.
