Hurt my knee Friday night and got an MRI appointment Sunday evening (booked Sunday afternoon). Waited about 2 minutes and was done in just over 30 minutes. The team was amazing, friendly and efficient.

Dr. Osama's team was gentle and amazing. After a bad experience elsewhere, my pelvic exam here was much more professional. Great report and very precise.

Cancer remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in the United Arab Emirates, with prostate, ovarian, and gastrointestinal malignancies accounting for a significant proportion of diagnoses. According to the UAE National Cancer Registry, cancer incidence has risen steadily over the past decade, driven by population growth, changing lifestyles, and increased diagnostic awareness. Tumor marker blood tests play a vital role in the early detection and monitoring of these cancers, offering a non-invasive first step that can prompt timely specialist referral and potentially life-saving intervention.
Tumor markers are substances, usually proteins, produced by cancer cells or by the body in response to cancer. While no single tumor marker provides a definitive cancer diagnosis on its own, these biomarkers are invaluable tools when combined with clinical history, imaging, and physical examination. At DCDC in Dubai Healthcare City, we offer a focused panel of the most clinically validated tumor markers: Total PSA for prostate cancer screening, CA125 for ovarian cancer assessment, and CA19.9 for pancreatic and gastrointestinal cancer evaluation. Each marker serves a distinct clinical purpose and is interpreted within the context of the individual patient.

Conditions and Cancers Assessed Through Tumor Markers
Prostate Cancer
PSA is the primary screening and monitoring marker for prostate cancer, the most common non-skin cancer in men.
Ovarian Cancer
CA125 is used to evaluate suspected ovarian masses, monitor treatment response in diagnosed ovarian cancer, and surveil high-risk women with BRCA mutations or strong family history.
Pancreatic Cancer
CA19.9 supports the diagnosis and monitoring of pancreatic adenocarcinoma, with elevated levels correlating with tumor burden and helping predict surgical resectability.
Colorectal Cancer
CA19.9 may be elevated in colorectal malignancies and is sometimes used alongside CEA for monitoring treatment response and detecting recurrence.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Tumor Markers in Dubai.
Tumor markers are proteins produced by cancer cells or the body in response to cancer, measured through a blood test. They serve four functions: screening at-risk individuals, supporting diagnosis, monitoring treatment effectiveness, and detecting recurrence.
PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) is produced by normal and cancerous prostate cells. Below 4.0 ng/mL is generally normal; 4.0-10.0 is a grey zone where approximately 25 percent may have cancer; above 10.0 carries higher probability.
CA125 is a protein elevated in ovarian cancer (80 percent of advanced cases) but also in endometriosis, fibroids, PID, and menstruation. It is most useful for evaluating women with persistent bloating, pelvic pain, or difficulty eating, and for monitoring diagnosed ovarian cancer.
CA19.9 is a protein shed by pancreatic and GI cancer cells. Below 37 U/mL is generally normal; above 100 U/mL is associated with pancreatic cancer.
Yes. PSA is elevated by BPH, prostatitis, and cycling.
