We currently offer comprehensive ultrasound training courses in both long-term and short-term formats. The long-term programme runs over several weeks and covers abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, musculoskeletal, vascular, and small-parts ultrasound in depth. The short-term intensive course condenses core modules into a focused period for professionals with limited availability. Both programmes combine structured lectures with extensive hands-on scanning of real patients in our diagnostic centre. We continually evaluate demand for additional imaging modalities and may introduce new programmes in the future.

Our programmes are designed for licensed medical professionals and medical students with an appropriate clinical background. This includes general practitioners, specialists, radiology residents and fellows, nurses, sonographers, and allied health professionals. International medical graduates seeking to develop imaging skills for UAE clinical practice are also welcome. We assess each applicant's background to ensure they can benefit fully from the course content. There are no nationality restrictions, and we regularly train participants from across the GCC, Middle East, and international markets.

Yes, every participant who successfully completes their programme receives an official certificate of completion issued by Doctors Clinic Diagnostic Center. The certificate details the modules covered, the number of training hours completed, and confirms hands-on practical experience. While this is an institutional certificate rather than a board certification, it serves as documented evidence of structured training for your professional portfolio, employer, or licensing authority. Many of our graduates use this certificate to support continuing medical education credit claims with their respective professional bodies.

We deliberately keep group sizes small, typically between four and eight participants per cohort, to ensure that every trainee receives adequate hands-on scanning time and individual feedback from instructors. Small groups allow the teaching faculty to observe each participant's technique closely, correct probe handling in real time, and tailor explanations to individual learning needs. No prior ultrasound experience is required for our introductory-level programmes. Our courses are structured to take participants from foundational physics and knobology through to systematic scanning protocols and clinical interpretation. However, participants with existing ultrasound experience also benefit significantly, as our instructors can focus on refining technique, expanding the range of pathology recognition, and building confidence in more advanced applications. Training takes place using the same diagnostic-grade ultrasound machines that we use for our clinical patient services. This means you learn on current-generation equipment with high-resolution imaging, colour Doppler, and advanced measurement tools rather than outdated training simulators. Exposure to clinical-grade equipment ensures that the skills you develop translate directly to real-world practice. Our centre also houses CT, MRI, and X-ray equipment, giving you an appreciation of how ultrasound findings correlate with other imaging modalities when discussed during case-based teaching sessions.

Yes, hands-on scanning of real patients under expert supervision is a core component of all our programmes. Unlike simulation-only courses, training at DCDC exposes you to the natural variability of human anatomy, including normal variants, incidental findings, and pathological conditions that you would encounter in clinical practice. Every scanning session is directly supervised by an experienced instructor who provides real-time guidance on probe positioning, image optimisation, and interpretation. Patient consent is obtained in accordance with our clinical governance protocols.
